Welcome to Go Beyond | Cambodia, a ministry of Go Beyond Expeditions.
Cambodia is a country that once upon a time was steeped in death. The Khmer people of Cambodia suffered unspeakable evils at the hands of the infamous Khmer Rouge. From 1975 through 1978, almost half the population of this Asian nation was brutally killed by Pol Pot’s henchmen. Millions remain buried, but not forgotten, in mass graves in Cambodia’s killing fields.
In 2009, our missions ministry formed a strategic partnership with Steve Hyde of Asia for Jesus to reach out to the Khmer people — to sow seeds of life in Cambodia’s former killing fields. Our teams have offered Vacation Bible School to teach children about God’s love, trained hundreds of national leaders, provided dental clinics, worked with orphans, ministered in the slums, and more.
Kingsland families also funded construction of The Hope Center in the border town of Poipet. This beautiful facility has indeed become a place of hope for the least of these. The center provides for the spiritual and physical needs of women and children, offers pregnancy care counseling that encourages abortion-minded women to choose life for their unborn babies, and serves as a center to train and equip women to become faith trainers of their children.
Thanks for stopping by and reading about our work in Cambodia. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve the Khmer people.
